“Simple, but Profound” describes life lessons as we go through our Christian walk

Simple things like faith, but the depth of faith is unsearchable because as we go deeper with God, our faith gets deeper.  Love, the unconditional love that shows its challenge in the hardest areas with the most unlovable people and circumstance and yet again, this love is unsearchable, given or even received because the definition is clear, but the “doing” much deeper.

In John 1:38, Jesus asks the two disciples who are following him, “What are you looking for?”  What a profound question.  What are you looking for in life? What’s important; what’s not? A very simple Bible verse that is pretty deep if you really sit down and ponder it. That’s the thing about the Bible, which can seem old, stale, and complicated at times: The simplest is the most profound!

Some of the shortest verses in the Bible prove to contain the simplest and the most profound principles we will experience.

God is love (1 John 4:16).

I mean, what can be simpler than this verse—God is love. If you really think about it, this verse sums up the very essence of God—He is love. And given that God is perfect — God is perfect love. So, if you believe in God, you believe in perfect, unconditional love.

Love never ends (1 Corinthians 13:8)

. . . because God never ends. So, our path to eternity with God is love.

Pray continually (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Trust in the Lord (Proverbs 3:5).

You are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14).

I can go on and on because as we read the Bible we find other gems.

God means life to be so very simple and deep. So, it stands to reason that the simplest verses in the Bible can be the most meaningful—if you really think about them!

Have a simple but great day!
